| An impossibly gorgeous vintage Gunne Sax dress. It bears the rare 'black label' which was one of Jessica McClintock's very first Gunne Sax labels, used in the late 1960s. This is an absolutely stunning example. Made of a lightweight, semi sheer cotton/poly blend, it features bunches of white flowers on a pale blue background. The lace trimmed v-neck plunges all the way to the inset empire waistband. (note the modesty which was added by the original owner, easily removable with just a few quick snips.) Gentle gathers under the bust line provide a little extra oomph. Huge, sheer lace angel wing sleeves. Shoulders are sheer lace. Floor length skirt has two full, gathered tiers at hemline. Attached tie at back of waist. Small pearl button closure at back of neck, and a nylon zipper up the back. Fully lined in a lightweight acetate type material. Dress is in near mint condition, and looks never worn. The only notable flaw is some minor seam stress showing along the back zipper, pictured. Freshly cleaned, and ships to you ready to wear. 57 inches top to bottom 27 inches neckline to end of sleeve 15 inches underarm to underarm 26 inch waist up to 35 inch hips 38 inch sleeve circumference $149.99 |
