Moving to Teal Traina as a designer he managed to get what he had been looking for, recognition by having his name credited to his designs on the labels of his garments.
From these beginnings his career flourished opening in 1963 a shop in his own name on 7th Avenue New York, one year later he won the Coty Awards and in 1968 he designed Lynda Bird Johnson's Wedding Dress.
The most inventive line he tried out was a younger line called BeeneBag which was designed for a younger clientele and sportier designs.
Today his vintage designs are collected around the world with his best designs coming in the 1970s, his price range is quite high with youthful garments making large amounts on eBay or at auction. His clothes are distinctive and will rise in value if you buy the right pieces to collect.
