Halston Vintage
Born in 1932 Roy Halston Frowicj founded Halston.
He was discovered as a designer by Lily Dache in Chicago but by 1958 he had left Chicago and was resident in New York working for Bergdorf Goodman designing hats in their millinery department.
Roy decided to set up alone in 1968 and called his business Halston Ltd. His favored fabrics were jersey and chiffon creating soft shapes for the body conscious clientele. He detailed this designs with simple beading and designs the most beautiful flowing gowns.
Halston suffered a decline in popularity when he introduced his line at J C Penneys in 1983. Halston still exists today even after his death in 1990 although his designs are not part of the new Halston designs.

Vintage Halston is beautiful simple jersey dresses from the 60s and 70s with small details and have a huge vintage appeal to women of all ages. They also had within their range lovley suits and day wear which is found more often then the evening wear.
They can be found on eBay for a variety of prices just make sure you are buying a dress from the right era as Halton II and Halston III are not so sort after or genuine designs of Roy Halston.
