Lilli Ann most definitely best known for her wonderful neat elaborately designed vintage 1950s and 60s coats and suits.
Adolph Schuman started his business in 1933 naming his company after his beloved Wife Lillian. Designing in the period post World War 2 he spent long periods of time in France here his designs would bear the 'Paris' name and if made from French fabrics the name of the French supplier.
He loved the small French fabric manufacturers where he purchased most of his materials which in turn helped the financial position of these small companies which were producing high quality hand loomed wool fabrics and struggling to survive post WW2.
Adolph company survived until the year 2000 long after his death in 1985, taken on by his Heirs in this 15 year period.

The most popular designs were probably from the era of the 1960s where his MOD inspired London Suits were the height of fashion through to the 1970s. His range of Knit wear was also a highly desirable item and both of these styles are still the best collected in vintage fashion circles today.
Many vintage collectors in America and in Europe look to Lilli Ann for a sense of style and his suits are amongst some of the finest produced in the 1950 - 60s period, with prices rising for the best quality items into the $100 mark and above.
