One of the designers of the 1960s & 70s Malcolm Starr speacilised in evening dresses and sculptured simple dresses very much a designer for this era.
Usually taking a simple shape like a shift dress and embelishing the item with feather beaded or sequins his creations were exceptional and made his his name into the 1970s.
Malcolm also designed some day wear into the mid 1970s dress and coat sets and seperates by the end of the 1970s.
Other designers worked under Starrs label, Youssef Rizkallah, who started with Malcolm in 1969 and was there until 1975, and Elinor Simmons, 1960s - 1972, finally Carol Horn for a short period in the 1970s.
